I have to just sit and shake my head. In New Hampshire we have 2 very ironic things happening and I have to hope that I am not the only one who sees the irony in them.
Firstly, Dover school district asked the current Miss NH not to speak at the school about not smoking because she is being paid by RJ Reynolds. They believe, and I think rightly so, that the non-smoking message will be lame coming from a tobacco company. Yet these folks can't understand why parents might have a problem with people coming to talk about sex from Planned Parenthood, the world's largest abortion providers, which makes most of its money from abortions and dispenses the least effective birth control pills.
Secondly, we had a bill in the state house calling for the state to only buy eggs from producers that don't keep their chickens in small cages because "Every life, all life, should be treated in a humane way," (said the bill's sponsor). This bill is brought to you by the same folks who want to repeal the parental notification bill and make our state one that has no restrictions on abortion. I guess that a chicken being allowed to live, albeit in a small cage, is inhumane, but burning a human baby with saline or ripping it apart, is humane???
Please tell me I am not the only one who sees the HUGE irony in these 2 situations.

This country is full of irony. I like how they say we can't pray or display Christianity in our public school because it imposes our beliefs on them. Well, doesn't making us unable to do it impose their beliefs on us? Besides, we have a constitutional right to do it.
